Bob Gallagher founded Gallagher Advisory Services because, in addition to continuing to provide exceptional forensic accounting services, he wanted to leverage his extensive financial and business experience to have an impact in the community. In particular, he wanted to pursue his passion for serving nonprofits who are solving our communities’ most complex and pressing problems.
Bob is known for being a reliable and dependable service delivery partner whose key to success includes bringing a balanced and objective style to all situations, promoting a collaborative environment where people focus on gathering and analyzing information, reaching valid conclusions, and devising pragmatic action plans. He is a good listener with a knack for relating to and working effectively with all organizational levels, from volunteers and staff, to executives and board members.
Prior to founding Gallagher Advisory Services, Bob was a partner at the Big Four accounting firm PwC where he led the Southeast Forensic Services practice. During his 28 years of client service, he focused on delivering high quality audit, risk advisory, forensic accounting and investigation services.
Over the course of his career, Bob led multi-discipline teams solving complex issues for clients including responding to and recovering from accounting fraud, asset misappropriation, and other types of fraud, ethics and regulatory matters. He also helped organizations and their legal counsel resolve business disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, contracts with third parties and other issues.
Many of Bob’s audit and consulting clients were nonprofit organizations such as those in education, the arts, health and human services and trade associations.
Bob is also a volunteer with a passion for giving back and making a difference in the community. As a nonprofit board member, he has held leadership roles in strategic planning, governance, development, and capacity building, enabling the organizations to pursue their missions more effectively.
